About the Position

As we continue to grow, we are looking for hardworking, dedicated and compassionate Casual Disability Support Workers to provide our participants with quality, person centred supports.

Working across Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Community Participation (CP), this role generally is responsible for:

• Provide support with daily living skills and community activities to meet individual needs of our participants
• Keep up to date with participants needs and care plans
• Facilitate community inclusion and participation
• Work with the participant’s clinical team, attend training and regular updates to ensure all treatment plans are met and implemented to a high standard of care.

This position is casual with the potential for permanent work down the track.

About You

You will thrive and succeed in our team by bringing the following experience to this position:

• Qualification in disability, mental health, or related field (desirable)
• 12 months' experience in a similar role 
• Experience in supporting clients with high physical care needs 
• Experience with manual handling 
• A clear understanding of professional boundaries and restrictive practices
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to write clear case notes.
